Lmao, I was going to comment that you did a great job on the background until I saw the description. Still it looks great and it doesn't clash with the character.
For the character I say you did a fantastic job with the color and shading. There are probably some details you could nag about, but only after a zoomed in examination of the piece.
Overall a good piece and I hope you keep up the good work.
